Obs remux audio3/16/2023 If you’re trying to record several different “desktop type” sources to different channels, you might need something like VoiceMeeter or similar to force them to different channels on the way into OBS, or use ASIO4All for that part and then the ASIO plugin in OBS, or something. Install and launch the best OBS video converter and load source MP4 or FLV. If you are using desktop audio as one of your sources, you let that go through on channels 1/2 and route your ASIO inputs to other channels. Adobe has been adding more of the audio effects from Audition Play the clip. FYI: Handbrake is great for conversion (transcoding), but if the recording codec is already H.264 (and it probably is), you should use a program that can remux video like ffmpeg, Xmedia Recode or AVIdemux) 1. You’ll need to tell OBS to record a multichannel (2.1, 5.1, whatever) format, of course. Bad idea, unless the video codec inside the MKV isnt supported by the program you want to use for editing. Right there is a window to route each of the ASIO inputs to OBS channels. If you are using the ASIO plugin as a source, you just right click it and go into its properties. In many cases I think people could get away with just routing the various channels to their own Reaper tracks for mixing without really needing them as separate files. This is by far a better option incase OBS crashes you will not loose the video. Fixed a performance issue with the Windows per-application audio sources jpark37 Fixed a bug where auto remux did not work with certain settings in. Sure but you could just let Reaper explode the multichannel files rather than taking a whole other step in a whole other application. the audio should always be separated from the video clips for performance reasons Because I'd still have to split them out as separate files for post production regardless. Click on File/Remux recordings select the file, hit 'remux' and youll find the mp4 in the same location where the MKV file was You can set OBS to auto remux your files as mp4 To do so, click on Files/Settings/Advanced and under Recording youll see the option to 'Automatically. Not all video editing programs support mkv files, but OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software) has a built-in way to convert (or, more accurately, remux) mkv.
